Job Overview Rain for Rent® HR Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recruiting job applicants to fill exempt and non‑exempt positions in a timely manner with highly qualified candidates. This is an on‑site, full‑time position based in Bakersfield, California. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with company leaders, vendors, community organizations, and team members. Maintain accurate candidate data in the applicant tracking system. Build a network of contacts to identify and source qualified leaders. Leverage online recruiting resources and internal prospects to identify and recruit the best candidates. Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract alumni and diversity candidates. Review resumes for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge relative to position requirements. Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position. Prescreen candidates by checking references and background checks; prepare and present prescreening questions to hiring managers. Conduct detailed interviews of all candidates presented for hiring, using various interview methodologies. Prepare candidates for interviews with specific hiring managers by briefing them on company, business strategy, department, job description, and expectations. Discuss hiring needs with department/branch managers to create and implement recruitment programs. Attend and represent the company at college career days and other recruitment events. Correspond with job applicants regarding employment consideration. Project yearly recruitment expenditures for budgetary control. Perform any other duties as assigned. Work Environment Work is performed in a well‑lit, heated and/or air‑conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts may occur. The noise level is moderate. On‑site presence at a Rain for Rent office and/or branch location is required; remote or hybrid options are not offered at this time. Travel Required Yes. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four‑year college or university. Experience: Two years of recruiting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Recruiting certifications preferred. License: Valid driver’s license. Estimated Rate of Pay $70,304 - $73,000 annually, salary determined by experience.
