Today's Dental Network is Florida’s first multi-specialty dental support organization dedicated to empowering dental specialists through operational excellence and strategic business support. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

 

The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic and hands-on HR leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership, supporting organizational growth, employee relations, compliance oversight, leadership development, and mergers & acquisitions integration activities across Today’s Dental Network.

This role partners closely with leadership to develop scalable HR strategies, mitigate organizational risk, support employee engagement and performance initiatives, and foster a positive and compliant workplace culture across a growing network of specialty dental practices. The Director of Human Resources collaborates closely with HR Operations leadership to ensure alignment between strategic initiatives and operational execution.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at all levels—from executive partnership and organizational planning to directly supporting day-to-day HR initiatives within a lean and fast-paced environment. This role requires a hands-on and collaborative leader who leads by doing while helping build scalable processes to support future organizational growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Strategic HR Leadership

· Serve as a strategic HR partner and trusted advisor to executive leadership and organizational leaders

· Provide guidance and support related to organizational structure, workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management

· Participate in leadership meetings and support board-related HR initiatives as needed

· Assist in development and implementation of scalable HR strategies, policies, and best practices that support organizational growth and mitigate operational risk

Employee Relations & Compliance

· Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

· Provide guidance and support regarding ADA, FMLA, accommodations, workplace compliance matters, and complex employee leave situations in partnership with HR Operations

· Partner with leadership to mitigate organizational and employment-related risk

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

· Support HR due diligence and integration efforts related to acquisitions and organizational growth initiatives

· Assist with onboarding and transition planning for newly acquired practices

· Partner with leadership on organizational change management and employee communication strategies during integrations

· Identify and address operational and employee-related integration challenges in real time during acquisitions and organizational transitions

Compensation Strategy & Leadership Support

· Support compensation benchmarking and market alignment initiatives

· Partner with leadership on job leveling, compensation structures, and organizational alignment efforts

· Support development, review, and coordination of employment agreements, compensation structures, and offer terms for provider and leadership-level roles in partnership with leadership and legal as needed

· Support implementation and administration of incentive or bonus plans as applicable

Leadership Support & Organizational Development

· Demonstrate a hands-on and collaborative approach to supporting HR initiatives and operational needs within a growing organization

· Coach and advise leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and leadership best practices

· Support initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness, retention, employee engagement, and culture

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and scalable HR infrastructure

Collaboration & Operational Partnership

· Partner closely with HR Operations to support alignment between strategic HR initiatives and operational execution

· Collaborate on onboarding processes, compliance workflows, policy implementation, and employee lifecycle activities

· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to HR systems, reporting, and operational processes

· Support workforce reporting, organizational insights, and data-driven decision-making initiatives in partnership with HR Operations and leadership

Payroll & HR Administrative Oversight

· Provide leadership, guidance, and development support for payroll and HR administrative team members

· Provide leadership oversight for payroll and HR administrative functions to ensure operational accuracy, compliance, and efficiency

· Partner with Payroll and HR Operations to support timely and accurate payroll processing, employee data management, and related compliance activities

· Support process improvements and internal controls related to payroll, HR administration, and employee record management

· Collaborate with Finance, HR Operations, and leadership to ensure alignment between payroll processes, HR initiatives, and organizational objectives

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

· Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience

· Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and performance-related issues

· Experience supporting fast-paced, high-growth organizations with evolving operational needs

· Experience supporting executive leadership in a fast-paced and growing organization

· Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements

· Experience supporting multi-site operations

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

· Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications

NICE TO HAVES:  

· HR experience within healthcare, dental, or multi-site service organizations

· Experience partnering closely with executive leadership and supporting board-level initiatives and discussions

· Experience working within private equity-backed or high-growth organizations

· Mergers & acquisitions integration experience

· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification

· Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives

· Familiarity with UKG Ready or similar HRIS platforms

· Strong background in organizational development and leadership coaching

Compensation Range: $130k - $155k
