If we succeed, science will be the only limit to medicine.All full-time roles are in person in New York.About the RoleAs a Strategic Product Manager at Forus, you will take on some of the company's most important and ambiguous product problems before they have established teams, roadmaps, or obvious solutions. Your work may include building internal AI and automation products, creating new operational capabilities, developing the first version of a product for a new customer category, or incubating an entirely new business line. Some initiatives will become permanent product areas; others may be handed to an existing team once the problem has been understood and the initial solution is working. You will operate as a technical product generalist, moving fluidly between product strategy, software, data, operations, and commercial considerations. You will be expected to identify the real constraint, develop a practical solution, build or prototype where useful, and lead execution until the initiative produces a measurable outcome. Depending on the problem, you may work through a dedicated engineering team, lead a broader cross-functional group, or execute significant portions of the work yourself. This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Forus' success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.If You Join, You Will:Own high-priority zero-to-one initiatives that do not yet have an established product team or obvious solutionWork across new customer categories, internal workflows, and emerging business lines to understand problems and determine what Forus should buildTake initiatives from initial problem definition through prototyping, implementation, launch, measurement, and transition into a durable operating modelBuild early prototypes directly where useful, using data analysis, AI development tools, lightweight software, and operational experimentation to learn quicklyLead cross-functional execution across engineering, design, operations, commercial, clinical, and other teams without relying on formal authorityCreate the metrics, feedback loops, and operating mechanisms needed to determine whether an initiative is working and how it should evolveHelp transition successful initiatives into permanent product teams, operating functions, or new business linesWe're Looking For You If You Have:Experience working in a product management, software engineering, or forward deployed role on a team that required outcome ownership (e.g., fast-growing startup, a 0 -> 1 business line at a high-performing organization)Track record of taking ambiguous, cross-functional problems and independently driving them through to measurable outcomesTechnical judgment and the ability to reason about software, data, AI systems, and operational processesHands-on experience using AI and technical tools to prototype, analyze, automate, or build rather than relying exclusively on specifications and engineering resourcesStrong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationshipsTrack record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goalsHigh NPS with your former teammatesThis is a list of ideal qualifications for this position.
