Warehouse TechnicianCottage Grove, Minnesota, United StatesThe RoleOur Warehouse Technician is responsible for all delivery intake within the facility, shipping supplies in a timely manner, maintaining strict organization within the warehouse, helping to ensure proper inventory, and communicating effectively with the team. Cannabis is a heavily regulated industry, therefore requires all employees to follow safety and compliance regulations.Essential FunctionsReceive, inspect, unload, store, and deliver internally all materials/products and track actions within Microsoft Dynamics, and other relevant softwareKeep accurate records of receipts and shipments, while highlighting any product handling issues that may occur.Pull supplies from inventory and prepare them for productionMaintain weekly inventory reconciliationMaintain the warehouse receiving/shipping areas in a neat and orderly fashionPerform cycle counting responsibilitiesReceive and check inbound goods for accuracy and place in proper locationVerify packing list against purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery of items, and submit receipt to finance for approval of paymentPrepare items for shipment following company standardsSupport and participate in inventory and cycle count activities including reconciliationMaximize effectiveness of spaceFollow department specific work instructions and SOP'sTrain new hires on standard SOP's and responsibilitiesSafely operate a variety of manual and powered material handling equipment, in accordance with OSHA and company standards.Safety & ComplianceBe aware of hazards in the workspaceRetain and understand department specific trainingReport safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actionsBe compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirementsFollow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirementsPerform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisorMaintain and calibrate tools, equipment and machinery as directed by a lead or supervisorReport and escalate safety & quality concernsWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motionsMust be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focusMust be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with productMust be able to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periodsMust be able to work at heightsAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environmentWork involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).QualificationsMinimum of a high school diploma or GED preferredEffective time-management skills, organization, communication, and simple mathAbility to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasksPallet stacker, pallet jack, and/or forklift experience preferredOne to two years of previous warehouse experience preferredInventory, data entry, and basic computer skills experience preferredPrevious cannabis experience not requiredAdditional RequirementsMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust possess valid state IDMust be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements in order to work in in cannabis industry (requires background check and state review)As a Green Thumb team member, you will have access to excellent benefits and incentives including:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid Time OffEmployee DiscountMental Health Programs401(k)Daily PaySupplemental InsurancePerks MarketplaceFlexible Spending Account / Health Spending AccountAnd much moreThe pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role.
