Automation Testing Engineer

Automation Testing EngineerLocation: Princeton NJEmployment Type: Onsite, Fulltime or PermanentMust-Have Skills:Strong understanding of QA fundamentals: test types, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, SDLC/STLC.Solid Java concepts (OOP, collections, exception handling, inheritance, interfaces).Hands-on Java coding for automation scripting and utilities.Strong experience with SeleniumExperience in Cucumber for BDDKey Responsibilities:Own and execute QA activities across the SDLC: test planning, test design, automation, execution, defect management, and reporting.Develop and maintain automated UI test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.Implement BDD automation using CucumberWrite robust Java code for automation utilities, reusable functions, and framework enhancements.Translate functional requirements and user stories into test scenarios and test cases (manual + automation).Perform regression testing and ensure automation coverage is aligned with release goals.Analyze failures, troubleshoot issues, and provide clear defect reports with reproducible steps and evidence.Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to improve testability and quality outcomes.Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation standards, best practices, and coverage.Contribute to test metrics, execution status reporting, and quality dashboards.
