Branch Accountant

Accountant – Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports. Responsibilities Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements Ensure appropriate accounting control procedures Provide input and complete projects as directed to assist with continuous improvement Month‑end branch accounting close process Financial statement & analysis preparation for assigned branches Collaboration with accounting team and assigned branches Investor adjustment analysis Monitor branch accounting activities Weekly loan variance analysis Understanding of general ledger transactions Accounting practices and policies Ad‑hoc & advanced report preparation Identify process improvement opportunities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2‑3 years or more of strong Accounting experience in a variety of areas including general bookkeeping, analytical analysis, financial reporting. Familiarity and understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and principles, economic principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations. Knowledge of Microsoft suite products with emphasis in Excel. Demonstrated experience with handling sensitive information. This position requires high attention to detail and accuracy, problem analysis and task monitoring amidst time pressures is a must.
