Journeyman Plumber (Union)

Job Description Job Description Misa Plumbing, a Local 1 repair shop, is seeking an experienced journeyman plumber to join the team.
This is a union position. B Division.

Journeyman Plumber Responsibilities :
Installs, repairs, and maintains pipe systems, drains, ducts, and related fittings and fixtures for water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems
Reads blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of water supply, waste disposal, and material needed
Installs gas appliances, dishwashers and water heaters, sinks and toilets, measures, cuts, bends, and threads pipes using hand and power tools or machines
Detects faults in plumbing appliances and systems and diagnoses their causes
Other duties upon request

Journeyman Plumber Qualifications :
86 – 87 Full Gas Work Qualification Card Required
F60 – G60 Certificates Required
Experience with and knowledge of backflow, boilers, and pumps required
Must have a valid and clean drivers license to operate company vehicles
Certified backflow tester a plus
S12 – S13 Certificates a plus
Operator Qualified a plus
Worker Wallet - Local Law 152 Gas Inspection Certification a plus

Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis
Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis
Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools and plumbing equipment
Must be able to climb stairs frequently
Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards
Must operate company van
