Our exceptional health center staff drives our mission forward by upholding our acclaimed customer service confidentiality standards, and working to create a safe, judgement-free space for anyone seeking Planned Parenthood services./ph3About Our Medical Assistant Position/h3pUnder the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager, provides support to patients and co-workers by performing with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center./ph3What Will You Be Doing!/h3pProviding non-judgmental, client-oriented care, and providing accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources./ppAssisting with optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule./ppEstablishing and preparing documents for patient records and patient services./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3pAssisting patients by responding to reports and coordinating services from appropriate personnel or departments as needed./ppUtilizing comprehensive knowledge of birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education./ppProviding Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets, (PES) and Informed Consent Forms, (ICF) Client and offers Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patients needs./ppOptimizing patient satisfaction and efficient use of provider time by providing patient education to each type of visit, ensuring that exam rooms are adequately stocked and prepared prior to visit./ppCompleting patient intake, preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, assisting the clinician, performing lab tests, providing injections, ordering and maintaining supplies, and variety of tasks which require demonstrating a knowledge of universal precautions, sterile techniques and hazardous waste disposal./ph3Minimum Qualifications:/h3pHigh school diploma or equivalent./ph3Preferred Qualifications:/h3p1-2 years in a healthcare setting./ppNational Medical Assistant Certification/ppProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications. Experience with electronic health records./ph3Salary Range:/h3p$16.51 - $24.77 hourly/ph3Position Type:/h3pFull-time Georgetown Rd.
