Business Intelligence Engineer

Azenta seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to design and maintain enterprise data and analytics solutions using AWS, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL. The role focuses on building ETL pipelines, optimizing cloud-based data platforms, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines integrating data from enterprise applications, APIs, and third-party platforms
• Build and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, and dimensional data models for analytics and reporting
• Develop AWS data lake structures on S3 and support analytics using SageMaker, Glue, Athena, and Lambda
• Establish data quality standards, governance controls, and document data lineage and transformation logic
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data science teams to prepare datasets and enable self-service analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics Engineering
• Strong SQL development, data modeling, and PostgreSQL expertise including query optimization
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and AWS cloud environments
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines and enterprise reporting datasets
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for data processing
