Our work includes commercial construction, industrial facilities, water and wastewater projects, electrical service, troubleshooting, controls, and specialized electrical installations throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced electrician who can take responsibility for assigned work, operate from a company vehicle, and work productively with an apprentice. This is not an entry-level position. The right person should be able to receive a scope of work, plan the installation, identify required materials, direct an apprentice, communicate progress, and complete quality work without needing constant supervision. The position includes a mix of commercial and industrial electrical construction, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Perform commercial and industrial electrical installations Read and work from drawings, specifications, and electrical diagrams Plan daily work and identify required tools and materials Install conduit, conductors, panels, equipment, controls, and electrical systems Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment Direct and train an assigned apprentice Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, and materials Document completed work and upload required job photos Communicate job progress, material needs, changes, and potential problems Represent Ide Electric professionally with customers and other trades Complete work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the NEC What We’re Looking For Several years of commercial or industrial electrical experience Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work Strong conduit-bending and electrical installation skills Ability to read electrical drawings and understand project scope Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Ability to plan materials and organize daily work Willingness and ability to teach an apprentice Dependable attendance and professional communication Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record Pride in workmanship, tools, vehicles, and jobsite appearance Why Ide Electric We are not looking to simply fill a position.
