Project Manager - Industrial Development

About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to drive industrial development projects in Welkom . This role is central to the company's expansion efforts, requiring a proactive approach to managing projects from conception through to successful implementation. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and external partners to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial projects and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, contributing significantly to the economic landscape of the Free State . Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and closing of various industrial development projects. Develop detailed project proposals, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Manage project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement timely corrective actions. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and industry regulations. Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, including senior management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline. At least 6 years of experience in project management, specifically within industrial settings. Demonstrated experience in managing projects involving new plant construction or significant facility upgrades. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid setting.
