Meal Order Coordinator

Job Description

Responsible for assisting patients place their meal orders while maintaining compliance of therapeutic diet orders. Other tasks assigned as required.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Coordinates patient's meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
• Takes patient meal orders via phone and at the bedside.
• Assists with meal selections while taking into consideration cultural and/or religious preferences.
• Monitors patient meal tickets- this includes reviewing and modifying as needed to comply with prescribed diet order.
• Processes new diets, changes, tube feedings and NPO orders efficiently while keeping accurate records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of prior experience.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a call center other healthcare setting preferred.
