Grant/ Proposal Writer - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Job Purpose This position primarily supports the Corporate & Foundation Relations grant program Director with some writing assignments for the office fundraising team, overseen by the Chief Philanthropy Officer. Principal Accountabilities Manage, research and write grant applications and proposals. Meet with hospital administration, staff, and project directors to gather information for writing assignments and new strategic projects. Acquire and maintain updated information about Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center and medical areas for projects that require philanthropic support. Write grant proposals, letters of inquiries, and case statements as part of the Foundation's fundraising initiatives. Write progress and final reports and other correspondence to corporate and foundation donors in compliance with their grant requirements and guidelines. Understand basic budgets related to the grant and funds requested. Meet regularly with the corporate and foundation relations and major gift staff to review the status of the departmental projects and initiatives. Prepare and maintain activity reports on the status of all writing assignments. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required 4 years of related writing experience preferably in grant writing Ability to work on multiple tasks and meet required deadlines Competencies Excellent written communication skills with the ability to make compelling grant requests. Additional KSA (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) Knowledge Demonstrated understanding of human resources responsibilities, processes, policies, and operations. Ability to set, track, and monitor quantitative goals and practice data‑driven decision making. Demonstrated expertise in MS Office products, particularly SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
