Physician Assistant, CV Surgery - Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center

Job Description Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a full‑time Physician Assistant (PA) to join the nationally recognized Cardiac Surgery team at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. The PA will serve as first assist in the operating room and provide expert care to post‑operative cardiac surgery patients, including central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, suturing and advanced vascular harvesting. Responsibilities Perform first assist in cardiac surgery operating rooms. Assist with endoscopic vein harvesting, open radial artery harvesting, femoral vessel exposure. Place central and arterial lines, insert chest tubes, and contribute to suturing. Provide expert post‑operative care of cardiac surgery patients. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey. Minimum 2 years of cardiac surgery experience preferred. ACLS and BLS certification required. Excellent communication, computer, organizational and teamwork skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Benefits Competitive hourly rate.
