Principal Component Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Component Engineer II to lead the selection, qualification, and reliability of EEE components for satellite, spacecraft, and aerospace systems. This role ensures component performance, compliance, and long-term mission success across our product portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead EEE component selection, qualification, screening, and reliability activities. Define component test requirements and ensure compliance with aerospace standards. Drive component standardization, supplier engagement, and obsolescence management. Support failure analysis, risk mitigation, and reliability assessments. Develop parts plans, engineering documentation, and component roadmaps. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Reliability, and Supply Chain teams to support product development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability component engineering. Expertise in EEE component qualification, screening, derating, and lifecycle management. Experience with PLM systems and component control processes. Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Spacecraft, satellite, or commercial space program experience. Knowledge of radiation effects, FMECA, failure analysis, and reliability engineering. Experience with RF components, FPGAs, and supplier audits.
