Principal Design Engineer (P4) - F119 Fan/HPC (Onsite)

What You Will Do Design lead for investigation of military engine field incidents reported by USAF leading to root cause and corrective action. Develop serviceable limits for engine part wear for the USAF as well as lead or support producibility improvement investigations at various vendors. Perform engineering first piece reviews remotely and at vendor locations for new and cold start parts. Assist in creation of safety risk analysis and develop risk mitigation plans. Also present and communicate results to customers and program management. Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts, and supplier requests for information (SRI’s). Up to 10% domestic travel required. Qualifications You Must Have BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 8+ years of prior relevant experience. Advanced degree in a related engineering field with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design. Experience in gas turbines. U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. Qualifications We Prefer MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 8+ years experience in jet engine design. Rotating hardware and airfoil experience. Experience with Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter. ANSYS experience desired. Familiarity with engineering standard work. Class I and II EC process. Proficiency with SAP. Experience with fault tree investigation. What We Offer Relocation Eligibility. Salary range: 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
