Executive Director, Commercial Analytics

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Executive Director to lead the Commercial Analytics Center of Excellence, overseeing ~20-25 analytics professionals across forecasting, performance, market research, and omnichannel functions. This senior strategic role partners with executive leadership to drive analytics-driven decision-making, launch execution, and commercial optimization across North America and global portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Lead Commercial Analytics COE with ~20-25 FTEs organized by disease area verticals
- Define enterprise analytics vision, operating model, governance, and business impact prioritization
- Oversee forecasting excellence, scenario planning, and revenue impact analysis with cross-functional partners
- Own national and sub-national analytics, KPI frameworks, market research, and omnichannel optimization
- Serve as trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership and cross-functional commercial partners
Requirements
- Advanced degree in quantitative, scientific, or business discipline
- Deep commercial forecasting and analytics experience in biotech or pharma
- Proven leadership of large, multi-disciplinary analytics teams and executive influence
- Experience supporting global and pipeline business portfolios
- Background operating within or alongside business unit leadership structures
- Exposure to advanced analytics, digital, and AI-enabled decision support tools
Compensation: $265,600 - $398,400 base
