This Escrow officer will oversee the closing and disbursement of high liability commercial real estate transactions. They work with multiple internal teams as well as our direct customers and consumers to get deals closed and funded. This position can be full-time or contract.ResponsibilitiesReview documents and closing instructions submitted by attorneys and lenders for compliance and requirements to closeCommunicate requirements and give status updates to all parties in the transaction whether those parties are in person or remotely attending the closingFinalize settlement statements and distribute to appropriate partiesCreate transaction documents as required based on the requirements, instructions and details of each transactionObtain signatures and notarize documentsWork with title and underwriting to clear title exceptionsReceive, disburse and obtaining funding approval for escrow closingsTimely submission of accurate documents for recordingKnowledge, Skills and Technology UsedStrong customer focusAbility to work with others as part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communicationAttention to detailProblem solvingFamiliarity of the concepts, terms, procedures and practices of real estate closings in IllinoisSoftPro Select softwareTypical Range of Experience4+ years’ experience in title insurance or a related field involving real estate closingsEscrow closing experience requiredCommercial transaction experience preferredSoftPro Select software experience preferredCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSFNF, its affiliates, and subsidiaries carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, specialty, experience, and work location.
