Web Development Lead

Job Summary:

The Web Development Lead is responsible for deploying, operating, and enhancing a public-facing portal and its associated features. This role involves maintaining a mobile-first responsive design, fixing bugs, and ensuring the application is scalable and maintainable by future web contractors. The lead will oversee the portal, subscription interface, time-series charts, and photo archive, ensuring high performance and usability. Responsibilities:

• Deploy and operate the existing web portal and subscription interface.
• Develop and maintain new features with a focus on mobile-first responsive design.
• Fix bugs and resolve errors promptly to ensure site stability.
• Manage and maintain time-series charts and photo archive components.
• Write clean, maintainable code that can be inherited by other qualified web contractors.
• Maintain and improve an application originally developed by another team.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Experience with public-facing, data-driven websites.
• Expertise in browser-based time-series visualization with performance optimization.
• Strong skills in mobile-first responsive design.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with time-series plotting and managing photo archives.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Azure Developer Associate certification.
• Certifications related to relevant web development frameworks or programming languages.

Special Considerations:

• Code must be maintainable and inheritable by other qualified contractors.
• Responsible for public-facing, data-driven applications requiring high availability and performance.

• Standard work schedule with potential requirements for timely bug fixes and feature deployments.
