Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong vascular and plastics surgery experience for a Level 1 trauma facility.

Job Details

• Level 1 trauma Operating Room with 26 beds,
• 1:1 patient ratios,
• Uses Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot equipment,
• Epic EMR,
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 AM-5:30 PM,
• Weekend rotation approximately 1:4 to 1:5 weekends, 12-hour shifts,
• Call required as needed, including overnight trauma call (11p-7a); specialty team call scheduled per team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho),
• Float policy of 25 miles between facilities as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active ME or compact RN license required,
• BLS and other AHA certifications required (non-AHA certifications accepted at submission but must be completed before start),
• CNOR preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required,
• Vascular surgery experience required, including both open and endovascular cases,
• Plastics surgery experience required,
• Level 1 trauma experience required,
• Preferred experience in General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, and Endovascular procedures,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required,

Additional Information

• Teal scrubs issued by the hospital,
• Candidates should be flexible, accountable, timely, and team-oriented,
• Airpods, laptops, and cell phone use prohibited on the unit,
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion,
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are eligible but not eligible for renewals or extensions,
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months must disclose this information
