Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse will be responsible for circulating surgical cases, assisting with turnover cleaning, transporting patients as needed, and scheduling surgical cases. The position requires the ability to independently circulate a variety of procedures across multiple specialties.General DutiesCirculate surgical cases across various specialties including General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.Assist with turnover cleaning between cases.Transport patients as required.Schedule cases efficiently to ensure smooth operations.Equipment UtilizedEPICPyxisProvationQualificationsA minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience circulating cases in a hospital setting.Ability to scrub cases is preferred.BLS certification required.Current State of Hawaii RN license is required.Schedule RequirementsThis position operates Monday through Friday, from 0645 to 2315. Shifts may be variable based on department needs, with a standard expectation of 40 hours per week and a possibility of 32 hours if a holiday occurs. Call coverage is required 24/7, with an average assignment of 1-2 calls per week and up to 2 weekends per month. Response time to call is expected to be within 30 minutes.OrientationTravelers will complete orientation on the day shift for up to one week or as per the manager's discretion.Contract InformationA minimum of 39 shifts is required during the contract period, considering any approved requests for time off.Unit InformationThe department consists of 6 operating room suites, with one dedicated to C-sections. Typically, 4 to 6 rooms are in operation simultaneously. It is a small yet busy and efficient operating room environment.Dress CodeScrubs will be provided.
