RN - Patient Care Manager, Medical Oncology Telemetry Unit

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to lead and manage the Medical Oncology Telemetry Unit within a dynamic healthcare setting in the Southeastern United States region. This full-time day position involves directing, supervising, and coordinating all functions and activities of the assigned unit to ensure exceptional patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee clinical operations to deliver high-quality care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service provision.
• Foster positive professional relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds, and communication among patients, families, and care providers.
• Coordinate patient care services with other departments and community resources.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as JCAHO and OSHA.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and ensure staff competency with equipment and procedures.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and quality control activities.
• Provide orientation, ongoing training, and continuing education for staff members.
• Manage fiscal resources, including budgeting and expense monitoring.
• Collaborate with care coordination teams to optimize patient throughput and discharge processes.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and hospital capacity metrics.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or actively pursuing.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience related to management and at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
• Strong leadership skills with knowledge of budgeting, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with nurse practice acts and age-specific patient care needs.
• Physical ability to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting.
