Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) Asheville, North Carolina
The Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) role for CV PreOp supports patient preparation and pre-procedure care within a high-acuity cardiovascular-focused area. Responsibilities include assisting with complex clinical procedures, coordinating patient transport to the operating room, and maintaining accurate documentation using BCMA processes. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 05:00 AM1:30 PM, 10 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; ability to provide critical care experience as a must; ability to support pre-operative tasks including large-bore IV starts; strong documentation skills and BCMA (Barcode Medication Administration) proficiency; good critical thinking and excellent communication skills with an interdepartmental team
• Preferred Qualifications: PreOp experience
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include medication administration, skin assessment, assisting with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement, assisting with chin-to-toe hair removal and skin prep, and transporting patients to the operating room while assisting with induction/intubation and positioning
