We are looking to add the following personnel to the DRT-3 Carrizo Springs project in Texas:

• 1 SSHO
• 1 Quality Control Manager
• 2 Field Safety Specialists
• 1 Field Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent

We would prefer candidates that live in or around Laredo, Texas, but will consider out of towners

For the SSHO and QCM positions, the contract includes specific minimum qualification requirements, so candidates will need to clearly demonstrate that experience on their resumes.

SSHO

• Minimum 10 years of construction safety experience
• Must have served as the SSHO on at least two federal design-build projects, each valued at $5 million or more
• Strong heavy-civil construction experience
• OSHA 30 required
• Experience implementing EM 385-1-1 requirements, AHAs, inspections, subcontractor safety oversight, excavation, heavy equipment, lifting operations, and other heavy-civil hazards
• Border infrastructure, roadway, utility, or large linear civil construction experience preferred

Quality Control Manager

• Minimum 10 years of construction quality-control experience
• Experience on at least two federal design-build projects
• Must have served as QCM/CQC Manager on at least two projects valued at $10 million or more each
• Strong heavy-civil experience preferred
• Experience with three-phase control, submittals, inspections, testing, deficiency tracking, and government coordination

The Field Safety and Field Superintendent positions are supplemental project positions and are not specifically defined as key personnel in the contract, so the experience requirements can be somewhat less restrictive.

Field Safety Specialist – 2 positions

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
• Heavy-civil, linear infrastructure, roadway, utility, pipeline, or similar construction experience preferred
• OSHA 30 required
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 preferred
• Experience with field inspections, AHAs/pre-task planning, subcontractor oversight, corrective actions, excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, traffic control, and similar field hazards
• Federal construction experience preferred but not required

Field Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent

• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible construction field supervision experience
• Prefer at least 3–5 years of heavy-civil or linear infrastructure experience
• Experience supervising multiple crews and subcontractors
• Strong background in earthwork, roadway construction, drainage, concrete, structures, utilities, and heavy-equipment operations preferred
• Must be capable of reading plans and specifications and coordinating daily production, sequencing, safety, and quality requirements
• Federal and design-build experience preferred but not required

For the SSHO and QCM positions, please focus closely on the required federal design-build experience and project values, as those are contract qualification requirements. For the Field Safety and Field Superintendent positions, we are more interested in strong, relevant heavy-civil field experience and the ability to work effectively on a large, geographically dispersed linear construction project.
