Job Details Primary City/State: Sun City, Arizona Department: PCU 6th Floor Work Shift: Varied Job Category: Nursing $15,000 Sign on bonus! Pay, Benefits, and Scheduling Shift differentials: 18% for night shifts and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential. Flexible scheduling: Full‑time three 12‑hour shifts per week, part‑time two 12‑hour shifts per week, and per diem minimum of two shifts per month. Rotating weekends/holidays and self‑scheduling available. Sign‑on bonus structure : Full‑time night shift: $15,000.00 Full‑time day shift: $10,000.00 Part‑time: 50% of the full‑time bonus Per diem: no sign‑on bonus Position Summary This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under direction, utilizing specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. Core Functions Assesses patient’s physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; reviews patient history, physical exam findings, diagnostics and laboratory data; reports abnormal results to physicians; completes assessment and reassessment as outlined in policy. Formulates a comprehensive plan of care, including discharge planning; initiates care based on assessment data and medical plan of care; collaborates with multidisciplinary team; revises plan of care as patient status changes. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination; delegates and supervises activities of the health care team; communicates patient status to other caregivers to promote continuity of care. Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching; revises the plan of care as needed; monitors patient progress toward goals and expected outcomes with the health care team. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; ensures documentation is legible, timely, and policy‑compliant; accurately records physician orders. Provides evidence‑based care and may participate in research activities; engages in unit or facility shared leadership; participates in education, orientation and mentoring of personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes; participates in improvement of national nursing quality indicators; may engage in professional organizations. May supervise staff and workflow of the department in some roles. Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts; works with clergy for spiritual support; synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to support the patient and family response to changes in health status. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the state of practice. BLS certification required. Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the specialty area. For Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions, minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting and working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as an RN in the specialty area. For Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions, minimum one year experience as an RN in a physician practice or acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
