We’re assembling a coalition to change how politics works. Forever. Everything is an angle now. Every call is a scam, every app is running a play on you, and when something actually goes wrong there’s nobody to call. Everyone you can reach has no power. Everyone with power is unreachable. FiNC (The Future is Now Coalition) is citizens, candidates, and communities who all landed on the same thing: the system isn’t broken, it’s rigged , and it’s working exactly as it was built to work. 3 middlemen decide which candidates you ever hear about: big money, party gatekeepers, and media manipulation. They control the money, the access, and the visibility every candidate needs to win. So they decide who wins before anyone votes, and good people run for office and stay invisible. Once you know it’s there, you see it everywhere. Each move looks like a one-off: a sudden outrage, a single bad vote, a new crisis to react to. But they’re the same 5 rigged patterns , repeating. Spotting them is what the Digital Politics Lens is for. Most of what we want, we want together: safer neighborhoods, schools that work, a shot at getting ahead, a government that listens. Left and right is the argument you were handed . The deeper question that matters is which way your leader is facing: up toward the people who fund them, or down toward the people who elected them. Here’s why this can work when nothing else has. Every movement, third party, and reform group is pushing against the same status quo, and all of them are pushing alone. They were all trying to win. We’re assembling the thing they all stand under . Citizens say what they care about, candidates say who they are, and the 2 sides connect with nobody in between. The coalition is the product. The DP Hub at hub.futureis.org is a tool that supports it, not the thing we’re selling. Both are early: the DP Hub is live and close to empty, and the coalition is small. That’s not the weak part of the pitch. Growing it is the job. Our work is the human side: outreach, PR, social, and citizen buy‑in. Not tech: that mostly exists already, spread across other civic groups. What’s missing is the coalition. We’re not marketing a website. We’re campaigning for a better way to choose leaders . We’re also built closer to a cooperative than a traditional nonprofit. Team members here are partners and co-architects, not employees. We can’t change the rules yet, so we’re changing the game. IMPORTANT: This involves DELAYED COMPENSATION - Please read carefully To maintain our independence and avoid conflicts of interest, we are not accepting investors or financing that comes with strings attached . Instead, we are Crowd-Starting FiNC building it together from the ground up. We’re asking team members to contribute 15-20 hours per week during this phase, with compensation paid retroactively once we become fully operational. This model only works if you see it as a short-term investment for long-term rewards . Everyone who joins is a partner , receiving an ownership stake in FiNC. Our structure is similar to a Nonprofit Cooperative , moving beyond the traditional "employee vs employer" dynamic into something more collaborative and forward-thinking. This model filters for people who believe in the mission deeply enough to build alongside us. It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay. The Role FiNC is looking for a Community Partnerships Manager to build our relationships with organized communities and help them turn shared frustration into real political weight. You’d work directly with the Founder on partnerships that are already live, starting with the disability community in Nevada. Veterans are next. After that, whichever community is ready. What a partnership actually looks like A community already knows what it needs. Transportation. Accessible housing. Employment. What it does not have is a way to turn thousands of members who agree with each other into a number that lands on a legislator’s desk. That is the thing you would build with them. Our Civic Tags let citizens pick the specific issues they care about. Those specific tags roll up into broader ones, so a person keeps their exact position and still gets counted in the bigger total. 10 people for expanding Medicaid plus 10 for employment first is 20 under Disability Rights. Then the number leaves the screen and lands on a desk. You would run that process end to end: workshops where a community picks its own tags, writing the stances in the community’s own words, testing the tools with them, and getting them to where they operate as a voting bloc loyal to their issues instead of a party . The line that lands with every community we talk to: "You choose the tags. We build the tool." Why this is our most technical role Every other role at FiNC is about assembling a coalition. This one is too, and it is also the only one that gets close to the product. Here is why. Nationally, a tag needs millions of people behind it before anyone in power feels it. In 1 state, in 1 district, with 1 organized community, it needs thousands. The community layer is where this stops being a promise and becomes leverage, and you would be the person standing in that gap. You do not need to be an engineer. You do need to be comfortable with a product that is half‑built, able to explain a mechanic clearly to a room, and willing to sit inside a taxonomy and map a community’s real issues into it. What You’ll Do Run our live community partnerships day to day, starting with Nevada Design and lead workshops where a community picks its tags and writes its own stances Onboard communities onto the Digital Politics Hub and walk them through what is real today Carry what you hear in those rooms back to our tech team so the product fits actual use Bring new communities in: veterans next, then wherever the fit is strongest Keep every commitment moving. Our historical failure with partners is not that people lose interest, it is that nobody hands them a specific thing to do by a specific date What success looks like in 90 days Nevada tag set locked , chosen by the community rather than by us At least 1 workshop designed and delivered end to end 1 new community in real conversation, with a named contact and a next step Zero open commitments to a partner without an owner and a date on them Who We’re Looking For 2+ years in community organizing, partnerships, coalition work, program management, or similar Comfortable running a room: workshops, facilitation, and group discussion where you are not the expert in the room Tech-comfortable. You can learn a product, explain it plainly to non-technical people, and give useful feedback on it You listen more than you pitch. Communities can tell the difference immediately Nonpartisan by instinct. We host every position and take none, and that has to be real in how you talk, not a script you follow Nice to have: lived or professional experience in disability or veteran communities, or with organizations that legally cannot endorse candidates If you also bring this, tell us We are separately looking for someone to own our Discord community and citizen engagement. If you are strong at both community partnerships and building an online space where people actually stay, say so in your application.
