Project Accounting ManagerCB Partners is partnering with a growing professional services organization to identify a Project Accounting Manager who will serve as a key partner between finance and operations. This leadership opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys overseeing project financials, developing teams, and driving process improvements that support business growth. In this role, you'll lead project accounting activities, collaborate closely with operational leadership, and provide financial insights that help guide business decisions. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team responsible for project accounting and financial operationsPartner with project and business leaders to monitor project performance and profitabilityOversee project billing, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and related financial activitiesSupport month-end close and ensure accurate project financial reportingAnalyze project metrics and provide actionable insights to leadershipIdentify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiencyCollaborate with finance, operations, and client-facing teams to resolve financial mattersAssist with audits, compliance initiatives, and special projectsSupport system enhancements and continuous improvement effortsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field8+ years of accounting experience with exposure to project-based environmentsPrior experience leading or mentoring accounting professionalsKnowledge of project accounting, contract billing, revenue recognition, and financial reportingExperience within engineering, consulting, architecture, construction, or other professional services industries preferredExperience utilizing ERP and accounting systemsWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
