About the Position

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, night shift; every other weekend required; no on-call

Highlights:

• Cardiac Medical ICU specializing in acute MI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, post-interventional cardiac procedures, and TAVR patients
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 based on acuity
• EPIC electronic medical records system utilized facility-wide
• Advanced critical care equipment including IABP, Impella, CRRT, ventilators, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and specialized services
• 36-hour orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
• Competency with arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, and vasoactive/cardiac drip titration
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, continuous IV sedation, and emergency medications
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
