Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Nephrology

Prior Nephrology training is not required, we will teach the successful candidate the skills needed to work collaboratively/ semi-independently with our providers. Our primary goal is to attract a candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced inpatient/outpatient environment with a team-based approach. The department provides comprehensive Nephrology subspecialty services including: inpatient evaluation of acute kidney injury (AKI), critical care consultation, continuous dialysis, acute and chronic dialysis, outpatient management of kidney disease, and postoperative/long‑term management of kidney transplant recipients. Primary responsibilities include: Assist inpatient providers with new consults and inpatient follow-ups for patients with acute kidney injury and electrolyte abnormalities Evaluate dialysis patients and write inpatient dialysis orders Assist with inpatient charting and documentation Assist providers in outpatient Nephrology clinic #J-18808-Ljbffr Geisinger
