Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years required

License: Active RN License required

Certifications:
ACLS
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
BLS Certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Must-Have:
Experience with Antepartum with Magnesium drips
Labor and Delivery experience
Experience receiving babies in C-Section
Recovery of post C-Section patients
Stable nursery care for infants on vapotherm
Healthy couplet care experience

Description:
Start date: ASAP
Position 1: Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Position 2: Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, 72 hours per pay period
Weekend Requirement:
Position 1: Weekend option for every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Position 2: Every fourth weekend
Floating Requirement: No
Call Requirement: No

Patient Ratios:
Labor patients 1:2
C-section recovery 1:1
Couplet care 3:1
Unstable antepartum 1:1

Support Staff:
House Supervisor available for floating
Respiratory staff available when called or during C-Sections
Nurse manager occasionally assists patients when needed

Clinical Background Skills Required:
Healthy Mom/Baby care
Antepartum care with Magnesium drips

Additional Information:
OB/Neonatologist is not in-house
Pharmacy is not 24/7 in-house
No floating to other units within the facility
Must function effectively in both L&D and couplet care settings
Cancellation Policy: None listed
Charting System: Cerner
BSN is not required
Trauma Level: CAH
