Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.Provides patient care according to established nursing standards, policies and proceduresAssists with patient assessment and planningRecognizes and communicates abnormal findings and/or changes in patient status to RNFollows through with specific tasks as directed by the RN, Charge or department leadershipPerforms IV starts on specific patient populations as approved and directedAssists in promoting patient comfort, i.e. positioning, providing restful environment, measures to reduce painScheduled shifts and training will be at East and West CampusJob RequirementsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDCertification of completion of technician education in a specific area and specialty e.g. EMT-Basic EMT-Paramedic CNA or LNA or PCT (patient care technician)Completion of Basic EKG class and demonstration of competency in EKG rhythm identification within six (6) months or previous EKG rhythm identification experience and demonstration of competency within ninety (90) days of hireAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support certificationSuccessful completion of the following within ninety (90) daysYRMC IV CourseIV insertion competency checklist for adultsSix (6) successful adult IV insertions performed under the supervision of an RNPreferredOne (1) year of pre-hospital or Emergency Department experienceCertified Nursing Assistant License: AZ (CNA:AZ)Emergency Medical Technician: AZ (EMT:AZ)Where You'll WorkAre you ready to join a healthcare family where your values align with ours?
