Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Tax Returns : Accurately prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, staying updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Tax Planning : Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic advice to clients regarding tax planning and compliance.
- Client Interaction : Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and answer any tax-related questions.
- Record Keeping : Organize and maintain financial records and documentation for clients.
- Deadline Management : Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients, ensuring timely submission of tax returns.
- Software Proficiency : Utilize tax preparation and bookkeeping software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Federally licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) a plus, not required.
- Experience : 3+ years of experience in Tax Accounting or a similar role.
- Certifications : CPA designation or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is a plus.
- Skills : Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
