Job Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and providing strategic tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Tax Returns : Accurately prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, staying updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Tax Planning : Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic advice to clients regarding tax planning and compliance.
• Client Interaction : Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and answer any tax-related questions.
• Record Keeping : Organize and maintain financial records and documentation for clients.
• Deadline Management : Keep track of deadlines and deliverables for multiple clients, ensuring timely submission of tax returns.
• Software Proficiency : Utilize tax preparation and bookkeeping software to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Federally licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) a plus, not required.
• Experience : 3+ years of experience in Tax Accounting or a similar role.
• Certifications : CPA designation or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is a plus.
• Skills : Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
