About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years strongly preferred First-timers accepted License: Must have a current RN license from South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact license Certifications: BLS required Radiation Badge required (to be provided by agency) Must-Have: Scrub experience strongly preferred Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will work four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Call shifts may be required, up to four shifts per month. Weekend coverage up to one weekend shift per month may also be needed. The traveler will be required to work at least one holiday period during their contract. The operating room setting includes a busy environment, covering various surgical specialties such as trauma, transplant, orthopedics, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics. The nursing team consists of a blend of registered nurses and certified surgical technologists. Registered nurses are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. Candidates should be aware that assignments may require emergency response duties during certain seasons.
