Assistant Store Manager

Compensation Compensation Pay Range: $21.30 - $26.55. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsibilities Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers. Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…). Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.). Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring team members stay current on their individual training. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy. Process all buy‑online/ship‑to‐store, hub and store‑to‑store transfers, and DC add orders in a timely manner; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed. Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure. Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods; process or stage returned merchandise correctly. Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store. Communicate Zipline messages, and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned. Ensure all team members comply with company policies regarding posted work schedule, approval of changes or deviations, and clock‑in/out procedures. Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, verifying/securing money and deposits, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicles parked in a secure area. Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Sales Specialist Training. Assistant Manager Certification. RSS Certification. Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
