Senior Accountant - Manufacturing Industry (Charlotte, NC) Join a growing, well-established privately held manufacturing and play a key role in strengthening financial operations, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic growth. Opportunity Our client is a respected, multi-site manufacturing company known for quality, innovation, and a strong commitment to its people. As the business continues to expand, they're seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys owning core accounting processes while partnering across the organization. Responsibilities
- Month-end close ownership - Lead critical components of the close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
- General ledger management - Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Manufacturing cost accounting - Support cost analysis, inventory accounting, and production-related financial insights.
- Financial reporting - Assist with internal and external reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Variance analysis - Analyze results, investigate trends, and communicate findings to leadership.
- Process improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with operations, supply chain, and FP&A teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
