You'll support core accounting functions including general ledger, cost accounting, fixed assets, and inventory while helping to streamline financial operations and drive accurate reporting. This is a high-visibility role ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys cross-functional collaboration.At Safe Fleet, we value curiosity, leadership, enthusiasm, accountability, and respect.What You'll DoPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAPLead or support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsPerform detailed balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the SMI businessEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesAssist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reportingPartner with FP&A, operations, and business leaders to provide financial insight and decision supportIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficienciesMaintain accurate documentation and support for financial transactions and reportingProvide guidance and informal mentorship to junior accounting staff, as neededRequirementsExperience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reportingBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an operationally complex environmentStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accountingManager/Supervisory experience preferred.Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersWe offer:Competitive salary + bonus eligibilityMedical, Dental, Vision insuranceEmployee Assistance Program401(k) with company matchPTO plus 10 paid holidays
