Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a dynamic and self-starting individual to serve as a Family Law Attorney in Fort Worth, TX. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and a commitment to excellence in managing a family law caseload and supervising a team of paralegals. Duties Manage a family law caseload and supervise paralegals. Monitor active cases for deadlines and necessary actions. Review and maintain proper recordkeeping for cases. Edit and review original petitions, answers, and counterpetitions. Draft and complete pre-trial discovery. Represent clients as the first chair in bench and jury trials. Attend mediations, depositions, and other case-related proceedings. File post-judgment motions, bills of review, and appeals. Collaborate with other attorneys in the Family Department. Participate in departmental meetings. Maintain positive relationships with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Conduct employee performance evaluations and manage disciplinary issues. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Texas. 2-3 years of relevant legal experience in family law. Demonstrated trial and advocacy skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strategic thinking and planning abilities. Flexible work schedule availability. Strong work ethic and accountability. Occasional travel may be required. Excellent attendance record. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Texas. Skills Strong litigation and advocacy skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
