Hours: Monday - Friday 4:30pm to 1:00am / every other weekend & every other holiday

Compensation based on experience, starting from $18.00

Summary

Maintains a clean, safe environment inside and outside the hospital by performing duties according to departmental techniques, procedures, and needs.Scheduled work may include weekends, holidays, and/or a variety of shifts.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dust mops and wet mops floors and stairways as needed.

• Auto-scrubs VCT, porcelain, ceramic, and quarry tiledaily.

• Auto-scrubs/deep cleans patient room laminate floors per schedule.

• Performs hard floor care processes as directed on VCT floors whichincludesfloor stripping, prep, and apply finish, deep scrub & recoat, burnishing, and daily maintenance.

• Spotscleansall carpeted areasdaily.

• Extracts carpeted areas, including elevators, as directed by carpet cleaning schedule.

• Deep-cleansrestroom floors per schedule.

• Maintains equipment and materials in a clean and orderly manner.

• Cleansand window washesin assigned areas when needed, such asadministrative offices,public lavatories, lounges,and public areas.

• Any other duties as assigned by manager.

• Customer Service Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards ofbehaviorsas well as encourages, coaches, andmonitorsthe sameinteam members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.

Responsibilities in Quality Improvement

Contribute byidentifyingproblems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible;participatesin departmental efforts tomonitorand report customer service.

EssentialJob Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.

• Prior environmental services experience and/or within30 daysof hiredemonstrateproficiencythrough our pre- and post-assessment.

• Ability to communicate through the oral and/or written process and ability to follow directions.
