Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule: Nights

Assignment Details: Less than 1 year experience required.

Requirements

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license in the state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current STABLE certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Two years hospital nursing experience (preferred).
• One year Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Comply with treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and support needs.
• Evaluate learning needs and provide education to patients and families.
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately and may mentor student nurses and new hires.
