Community Manager
$75kProperty Management Services, LLC
Location: On-site | Bronx Park Area, Bronx, NY (4 sites, 468 units) Reports to: Area Director The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 based on location and level of experience plus discretionary bonus. Twin Pines is a fast-growing, full-service property management firm redefining multifamily living across New York City from market-rate communities to large-scale affordable housing portfolios. We operate some of the city's most complex and impactful assets, that have helped shape neighborhoods. Our team works at the intersection of performance, compliance, hospitality, and resident experience. We partner with sophisticated owners and institutions, giving our professionals exposure to high-level strategy while staying close to the day-to-day operations that drive real results. Community Manager - Bronx Park Primary Focus: This Community Manager role oversees 468 units across 4 sites in the Bronx Park area. Own the site’s financial and legal operations - AP/AR, delinquency, and the eviction legal process - while ensuring proactive, hands-on management of the property, aligning operations with ownership goals, and serving as the Area Director’s primary financial and legal-process partner. Must be fluent in Spanish/English Financial Operations: AP/AR & Legal Process (Core - 60%+ of Role) Own day-to-day Accounts Payable: accurately code and process vendor invoices, match to purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and route for approval on schedule. Own day-to-day Accounts Receivable: timely mailing of rental and miscellaneous payments, reconciling resident ledgers, and maintaining audit-ready records. Manage the full delinquency-to-eviction legal process, including lease agreement enforcement: prepare and serve rent demand and default notices, track statutory timelines, and prepare case files for legal filing. Coordinate directly with the Area Director, property counsel, and the courts on eviction case status, hearing dates, and required documentation. Maintain accurate, current records of all active legal cases, ensuring there is no slippage through statutory deadlines. Prepare AP/AR and delinquency reporting for the Area Director, flagging aging balances and at-risk accounts prior to legal escalation. Serve as the Area Director’s primary financial and legal-process partner. Client & Ownership Relationship Management Serve as a key point of contact for ownership-related matters, ensuring open, clear, and consistent communication regarding property performance, physical condition, and updates. Build and maintain strong working relationships by understanding ownership priorities and aligning day-to-day operations with long-term strategy. Support timely, thoughtful responses to questions, concerns, and ad-hoc information requests. Business Plan Implementation Ensure property operations and on-site execution are aligned with the business plan and strategic objectives. Translate directives into actionable tasks for on-site and central teams, overseeing execution to ensure consistency and accountability. Provide regular updates on business plan initiatives, including leasing velocity, compliance requirements, maintenance programs, preventative care, and capital projects. Service Quality, Asset Oversight, and Issue Resolution Maintain regular on-site presence to ensure the asset is well-maintained, operational standards are met, and the community presents appropriately. Conduct routine property walks and inspections to evaluate curb appeal, common areas, resident-facing spaces, and back-of-house operations. Proactively identify operational, physical, or reputational risks and address them before they escalates. Implement a structured escalation process for physical and operational issues, coordinating with the Area Director and other departments as needed. Data Collection and Performance Reporting Collect and analyze property, operational, and resident data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Partner with the Business Analytics/Reporting team to deliver insights and recommendations that support asset performance. Provide custom operational reporting as requested — occupancy, leasing activity, maintenance metrics, and resident feedback (AP/AR and delinquency reporting is owned under Financial Operations). Standardization and Process Improvement Develop and maintain standardized operational processes to ensure consistency and quality on-site. Continuously evaluate service delivery and operational protocols, implementing improvements based on site observations and performance data. Work with Property Operations/Central Office to integrate technology and streamline workflows that enhance operational efficiency. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure the property adheres to regulatory requirements and company policies through regular site inspections and property audit checklists. Partner with Leasing, Maintenance, and Compliance teams to address risks related to physical condition, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational controls. We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance. Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Access to multiple medical plan options through our benefits partner, including PPO and HMO plans, allowing employees to choose coverage that best fits their needs. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Pre-tax accounts available for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses. 401(k) Retirement Plan Opportunity to contribute to a tax-advantaged retirement plan to support long-term financial planning.
