Enterprise Systems Technical Project Manager
University of California , San Francisco
The Enterprise System Project Manager applies advanced technical project management frameworks and methods in conjunction with Campus and UCSF Health objectives to plan and execute projects in the enterprise administrative application domain (ERP and Web Systems). The Project Manager is an experienced technical/functional professional who can resolve highly complex issues in which analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Project Manager determines methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results, and manages projects of broad and diverse scope, size, impact, budget and/or project team size, with considerable impact to the organization.
The Project Manager will manage the Oracle cloud ERP projects as well as the enterprise ecosystem, including Oracle releases and enhancement projects. The scope of this project includes the transition to the new ERP platform itself as well as the associated development of required custom functionality, reporting, interfaces, and other applications and middleware to replace previous customizations and other end-of-life business systems that comprise the enterprise systems environment. The person in this role will be accountable for ensuring the project meets agreed upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality measures.
The position requires extensive Oracle Cloud systems experience, a thorough understanding of the interdependencies among systems and processes, knowledge of higher-education and medical entities' financial and administrative needs, and strong leadership, communication, presentation and project management skills to identify and resolve issues, develop deliverables and timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, and handle post deployment adjustments
Department OverviewThe UCSF IT Department provides centralized IT services to all aspects of the UCSF mission including patient care, research and education in addition to support for enterprise-wide administrative systems. Additionally, UCSF IT works closely with a variety of more specialized departmentally based IT services to provide common services, IT architectures and frameworks in the areas of infrastructure technology, integration / interfaces, information management (e.g. master data management, clinical data warehousing), security, enterprise systems of record and IT service management processes and tools. Additionally, UCSF IT is actively engaged at the UC System level to identify and implement leveraged solutions and services but also to leverage the experience and skillset across the UC system to meet the rapidly escalating information technology needs of the institution. This offers employees the opportunity to be exposed and engaged in a broad swath of the UC business and advanced technologies and professionals within UCSF and the UC System.
