Position Details: Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre Procedure Phase II FT DAYS Hours: 5a-1:30p or 530a-2p NO CALL - WEEKEND ROTATION 1 MAJOR 1 MINOR HOLIDAY Overview: The Ambulatory Surgery Unit, or ASU, is located on the ground floor of the main hospital adjacent to the Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). It consists of a 28- bed surgery prep unit and a 32-bed outpatient unit for pre and postoperative care for pediatric patients and adult postoperative care. Why Work at Mercy? Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care for patients in accordance with the plan of care, established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care. Qualifications: Required: Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association Other Skills: Strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Preferred: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Certifications: ACLS and PALS Ready to Apply?
