Position: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Location: Edmonds, WA

Shift:

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (08:30 AM - 05:00 PM, Monday - Friday; Weekends Off)

Description:

This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) at an Infectious Disease Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of experience as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Measure and record vital signs, including height/weight and 12-lead EKG/ECG.
Prepare patients for examinations by positioning and draping, as well as recording history, medications, and allergies.
Assist with procedures including dressing changes and Pap smears, and set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
Administer injections such as immunizations and intramuscular shots.
Collect specimens and ensure proper labeling (sputum, stool, throat, urine, vaginal, wound).
Perform laboratory tests including strep tests and urinalysis.
Handle office duties, including managing authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, ordering supplies, and scheduling appointments.
Engage in professional skills such as administering medication, following up on phone calls, reviewing lab tests, and rooming patients.

Qualifications:

Certification: Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
Charting System Experience: Proficient in EPIC is required.
Must have solid experience in a similar role within an adult outpatient clinic.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
