Location: East Brunswick, New Jersey Facility: Dental Care Alliance (DCA) Employment Type: Per Diem Schedule: 40 hours/week | 8-hour shifts Position Overview Join a patient-focused dental practice committed to delivering exceptional oral healthcare. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and the clinical team to provide outstanding patient care while supporting efficient day-to-day dental office operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment and instruments are ready for patient care. Welcome, seat, and prepare patients for dental procedures while ensuring their comfort. Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile field. Sterilize, organize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Take and develop dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations. Mix and prepare dental materials for restorative procedures. Fabricate temporary restorations and polish removable dental appliances, as appropriate. Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-treatment care. Accurately document patient treatment and clinical notes in electronic health records. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols. Assist in maintaining inventory and ensuring the clinic remains clean, organized, and fully stocked. Support emergency preparedness by maintaining CPR certification and emergency equipment. Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program OR at least six (6) months of hands-on Dental Assistant experience. Current 6-hour X-ray Certification. Current CPR Certification. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Nitrous Oxide Certification. Coronal Polishing Certification.
