Relocation assistance is available. Job Overview This is not a teaching position. It is a motivational role focused on sustaining high expectations for students. The role involves facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops, coaching students individually or in small groups, and using Coachbot analytics to drive 100% completion of weekly app targets. Success is measured by full cohort completion of weekly goals, mastery of all life‑skills workshops, and 90%+ satisfaction reports. What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑8 cohorts covering public speaking, focus, feedback, and other enduring competencies, modifying the playbook and creating new sessions when needed. Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions that drive each student to 100% completion of their weekly app goals, leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha’s incentive structures. Delivering the Test2Pass assessment for each life skill and coaching students who do not pass until mastery is achieved. Adjusting coaching approaches across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to eighth graders needing direct conversation and accountability. Serving as the trusted adult who maintains high expectations, evokes empathy, and challenges students. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering whiteboard lectures; academic content is embedded in the apps. Creating curriculum from the ground up; you activate an established playbook. Passively monitoring students at computers; motivation is active, individualized, and persistent. Reducing a weekly target to help a student achieve it; the solution involves the student, not the goal. Assessing homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent communications; those responsibilities are managed by Campus Leads. Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student in your cohort achieves weekly learning targets, demonstrates mastery of each life skill, and finishes the year reporting they loved working with you. Basic Requirements Available to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in one of the listed locations; relocation assistance is provided. Bachelor’s degree in any field. Minimum three years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program leadership). Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal, including objective, actions, and result. Comfort allowing AI to manage instructional content while concentrating on motivation and life‑skills coaching. Regular use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship (or in Canada for the Toronto campus). Nice‑to‑Have Requirements Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theatre, or after‑school programming with direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives. Personal track record of exceptional achievement, reflecting a consistent pattern of maintaining high standards. Stage presence sufficient to engage a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without raising voice. Demonstrated success converting disengaged or resistant students into engaged contributors. Compensation & Work Arrangement The role is a full‑time (40 hours per week) contractor position. Compensation is $50 USD per hour, equaling $100,000 USD per year based on 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment period is weekly.
