We are currently seeking a diligent and dedicated Nurse for a role in one of Tucson's highest performing stroke centers Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Pay Rate: $46.75 per hour with stipend option Shift Times: 1900-0730 Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 Call Requirement: Not Applicable Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Float Requirement: As needed within your skill set Your primary responsibilities will be within our high-performing stroke unit, though you may be required to float to Cardiac TELE, Medical, Ortho, and OBS as needed. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills and experience across a range of specialties. We require the following certifications and basic understanding: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Tele Interpretation - IV Insertion - PICC Lines Our top 10 diagnoses/procedures include: CHF, Chest Pain, Afib/RVR, Arrhythmias, Sepsis, Post Cath Lab, ETOH withdrawal, DKA, and GI bleed. We also perform a range of special procedures on the unit, including Lumbar Puncture, CAPD, Bedside ID, Thoracentesis, and Continuous Hemodynamic monitoring. Equipment you'll regularly use includes: Remote Telemetry Monitoring from a Monitor Room, 12 Lead ECG, Glucose monitor, Vapotherm, BiPAP, and CPAP. Please note: we require all our staff to have the flu and COVID-19 vaccines. However, medical or religious exceptions will be considered.
