Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (CVICU) - Nights | Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (CVICU) Registered Nurse position provides bedside critical care for a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, including occasional adult medical ICU overflow. The role supports ventilated patients and complex cardiovascular and multisystem care, following unit workflow and clinical standards. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12 shift hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend coverage required.
• Required Qualifications: Valid OK or Compact RN license (required at time of submission); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of previous experience in an ICU setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Additional Information: Every other weekend coverage is required, and the role may require floating to Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU), Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU), or Burn Intensive Care Unit (Burn ICU) as needed within scope, based on facility needs. Key skills include arterial line management; assisting with chest tube insertion/removal; BiPAP/CPAP management; blood product administration; care of ventilated patients; central line care/management; chronic/acute renal failure; continuous IV sedation; CVA/acute stroke management; CVVHD/Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT); Impella support; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure; PICC line management; procedural sedation administration/monitoring; sheath removal; starting and maintaining IVs; titration of cardiac drips and vasoactive drips.
• Float: Could float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU if needed.
