CNC Machinist

salary: $50,000 - $53,040 per year

work hours: 6 AM - 3 PM

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and operate CNC mills and lathes based on daily production requirements.

• Load programs, adjust tool offsets, perform machine changeovers, and set guides/stops for repeatable accuracy.

• Make minor program edits (G-code/M-code) and save accurate revisions as needed.

• Monitor live machine runs to spot defects, dimensional shifts, or equipment issues early.

• Read and interpret blueprints, job specs, and engineering drawings to guide production.

• Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and precision measuring tools.

• Deburr, deflash, and clean finished parts using powered hand tools.

• Perform routine machine PMs, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor component replacements.

• Safely operate overhead hoists and cranes to transfer heavy materials and finished goods.

• Support light assembly tasks when needed (spot welding, riveting, packaging, and labeling).

• Keep a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to company safety protocols.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
