Company Description Oasis Physical Therapy and Wellness is dedicated to supporting individuals throughout their cancer journey with specialized, compassionate care. The team provides prehabilitation to help patients build strength and resilience before treatment, as well as active rehabilitation to address side effects from surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Long-term wellness programs are designed to help patients regain function, meet personal goals, and return to the activities they value most. The clinic focuses on creating a supportive environment that serves as a restorative “oasis” during challenging times. Clinicians collaborate closely with patients to promote safe, evidence-based recovery and sustainable well-being. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site PT/PTA role based in San Ramon, CA. The PT/PTA will evaluate and treat patients using individualized physical therapy plans, with a focus on oncology-related prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and long-term wellness. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, implementing therapeutic exercise programs, providing manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education, and teaching patients strategies to manage pain, fatigue, and functional limitations. The role also involves documenting clinical findings, tracking progress, collaborating with referring providers, and educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and self-management. The PT/PTA will contribute to a supportive clinic culture that prioritizes patient-centered care and safety. Qualifications Active licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of California, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Experience or strong interest in oncology rehabilitation, prehabilitation, and long-term wellness programs. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and neuromuscular re-education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Accurate and timely clinical documentation skills using electronic health records. Ability to work safely in an on-site outpatient environment, including appropriate infection control and patient-handling practices. Time-management and organizational skills to handle a part-time patient caseload while maintaining quality of care. CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with evidence-based practice in physical therapy.
