Engineer IV – Construction Manager Job Summary Pay: Up to $60/hour Schedule: Full-Time Manage all phases of construction administration from procurement and bid preparation through construction completion, warranty period, and project closeout Serve as the owner’s representative and oversee contractor performance on complex capital building projects Manage construction contracts, including change orders, RFIs, pay applications, and contract compliance Conduct pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and review contractor qualifications Monitor project schedules, including CPM scheduling requirements, and ensure projects remain on track Perform constructability reviews and quality control inspections Resolve construction issues and disputes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and end users Ensure successful project delivery from project start through final closeout Engineer IV – Construction Manager Qualifications Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Architect (RA) license required Extensive experience managing vertical construction projects, including new construction and major renovation projects Strong background in construction administration, contract management, and contractor oversight Experience with public sector, municipal, educational, healthcare, institutional, higher education, government, or large commercial construction projects preferred Knowledge of construction procurement, contract administration, CPM scheduling, quality control, and project closeout required Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex construction environments Preferred Qualifications Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification Project Management Professional (PMP) certification LEED certification Value Engineering experience Why Zing?
